Estonia interested me because it sounded so mysterious.

A country only recently released from behind the iron curtain, an Art Academy that produced some amazing contemporary jewellery and free wi-fi internet everywhere! I applied for and was offered, an artist-in-residence at the Academy. I was also invited to teach a project to the third year jewellery students.

I was determined to take advantage of the proximity of Estonia to the contemporary jewellery hubs of Europe and planned to travel as much as I could within my budget…
